San Clemente Island Census Data from 1999-2000 Season
San Clemente Island had a total of 2 pups, 7 adult females, 2 subadult males, 0 adult males, and 51 juvenile for a grand total of 62. Census was taken by Mark Lowry a biologist with the Southwest National Oceanographic Atmospheric Association (NOAA). He collected the data at the beginning of the breeding season in the winter (this year the census was made on January 12, 2000 and is a ground count).
